What is shared and what is not

Mechanically the two have a lot in common, so many drivetrain, hybrid and running-gear parts cross over. Body panels, glass, lights and rear-end parts do not — the Shuttle is an estate and the Grace is a saloon. Never assume a body part crosses just because the mechanical parts do.

The dual-clutch hybrid gearbox

Both cars use Honda’s hybrid setup with a dual-clutch gearbox rather than a conventional automatic or CVT. It behaves differently from a normal auto, and a used unit should be bought on a matched-chassis basis. If your symptoms are hesitation or jerkiness at low speed, get it diagnosed before assuming the whole gearbox is gone.
