Toyota Crown S210 (2012–2018): Buying Parts in Jamaica
The S210 Crown is now a common sight on Jamaican roads and one of the vehicles we stock most heavily. The catch is that "Crown" covers several quite different cars — Royal, Athlete and the hybrid — and body, trim and drivetrain parts do not always cross between them. Send your chassis number on WhatsApp and we confirm the exact variant before you buy.
Royal vs Athlete vs Hybrid
Royal and Athlete are trim lines with genuinely different front-end styling, so bumpers, grilles and the surrounding trim are the parts most often ordered wrong. The hybrid (AWS210) adds a hybrid battery pack and its own cooling and control hardware that the petrol cars do not have.
- Royal and Athlete front bumpers and grilles differ — match the trim, not just the year
- Athlete models commonly carry the sportier interior and trim pieces
- Hybrid (AWS210) has a battery pack, inverter and cooling parts unique to it
- A 2015 facelift changed front-end styling within the S210 run — confirm your year
Engines and drivetrain
S210 petrol Crowns are usually the 2.5 V6 4GR-FSE, with the 3.5 2GR-FSE in higher Athlete and Majesta models. The hybrid uses a 2.5 four-cylinder with the hybrid system. Engine ancillaries, mounts and cooling parts differ between the V6 and the hybrid four, so the engine code matters more than the model name.
- 4GR-FSE 2.5 V6 — the most common in Jamaica
- 2GR-FSE 3.5 V6 — higher-spec Athlete / Majesta
- Hybrid: 2.5 four-cylinder plus hybrid drive
- Give us the engine code when ordering mounts, cooling or ancillaries
The hybrid battery question
Hybrid battery packs are one of the most asked-about Crown parts. A used pack is a real option but condition is everything, and it is sold on an as-inspected basis. Come and see it, or ask us for photos and what we know of its history before you commit.
- Ask what is known about the pack’s history
- Inspect before purchase where possible
- Budget for the fitting and any cooling-fan cleaning at the same time
What to send us
For any Crown part: the chassis number, the trim (Royal or Athlete), whether it is a hybrid, and a photo of the old part. That is almost always enough for us to confirm a match the same day.
Frequently asked
Will an Athlete front bumper fit my Royal Crown?
Usually not directly — Royal and Athlete have different front-end styling. Send your chassis number and we will confirm which bumper matches your car.
Do you carry Crown hybrid batteries?
We do stock hybrid components from time to time. Hybrid batteries are sold as inspected — message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is available and its condition.
Is a 2013 Crown part the same as a 2017?
Not always. There was a facelift within the S210 run that changed front-end styling. Confirm your exact year with your chassis number before ordering body parts.
